For the past 8 years, I have been creating 3D environments with a focus on foliage. Leveraging both real-world capture and traditional modeling techniques, I strive to create the believable.
My passion in game design is building believable new worlds that wouldn't have existed otherwise. The ability to step away from reality and enter another world without limitations is what makes games great. Those new worlds can be grounded in realism or complete fantasies, but the minute details of the environment are what make them believable. If everything a player sees feels like it actually exists in this other world, it begins to tell a story on it's own.
As an environment artist, I always bring this idea with me. I work to tell a story with everything I create, leaving narrative to be uncovered rather than read.
